Omega-3 PGFO is a natural supplement, fish-oil based, advertised as a highly concentrated formula.

According to the manufacturer, the fish-oil used for manufacturing the formula is ultra-refined and molecularly distilled.

The molecular distillation is used to eliminate the toxic elements found in fish oil supplements of lower quality, such as mercury, furans, and dioxins.

The manufacturer of Omega-3 PGFO is A-M B-Well. However, little information is available regarding its profile, production facilities, product range, and history.

Omega-3 PGFO contains high concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Each 1000 mg capsule contains a minimum of 400 mg of EPA and 200 mg DHA, resulting in 60% active ingredients from every 1000 mg of product.

The product is also accepted by the United States Pharmacopoeia, a worldwide recognized pharmacopeia.

Summary

1) What is Omega-3 PGFO?

Omega-3 PGFO is a fish oil supplement with 2 active ingredients: Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA).

Both fatty acids are contained in high concentrations for increased effectiveness. Both EPA and DHA are not naturally produced by the human body and can be synthesized if a proper diet is followed or by using fish oil supplements.

EPA and DHA can be found in fresh cold-water fish such as salmon, sardines, and tuna. Use of Omega 3 fatty acid-based foods has many positive effects and helps reduce inflammation throughout the body, reduce cholesterol and the amount of lipids in the blood, prevent excessive blood clotting, and help prevent cell growth in several cancer types.

However, the usage of fish oil in supplements may lead to side effects such as diarrhea, a 5-10% increase in harmful cholesterol levels, or vitamin toxicity.
