Whether you’re a busy professional striving for a promotion, a college student hoping to ace your exams, or an older adult concerned about dementia, the idea of taking a tablet that could enhance your brainpower may seem quite appealing.

Neurozan is a nootropic supplement designed to improve learning and memory functions, but does it work, and is it safe for your use? Keep reading this article to find out.

1) What is Neurozan?

Neurozan is advertised as a potent nootropic supplement formulated for those looking to support their mental performance, brain health, and cognitive function.[1]

It is essentially a multivitamin and mineral formula with added amino acids, 5-HTP, Ginkgo Biloba, and other ingredients that improve and support brain health and cognitive functions.

2) The Company Behind Neurozan

A UK-based nutraceutical company, Vitabiotics, makes Neurozan. The company was founded in 1971 and is one of the biggest manufacturers of dietary supplements in the UK.

Vitabiotics specializes in developing and producing vitamin and mineral-based food supplements that target many health needs, including immune support, pregnancy and fertility, and normal growth and development. Some of their popular supplements include

  • Pregnacare

  • Wellwoman
  • Wellman

Health Benefits

4) Neurozan Health Benefits

Neurozan contains many ingredients that may be beneficial in several ways.

  • Ginkgo biloba – This antioxidant-rich herb has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries to treat brain ailments and is known to enhance brain health. Ginkgo biloba may also improve cerebral blood flow by dilating blood vessels and decrease cortisol levels in the body.

Cortisol is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands, especially during stress, and increased cortisol levels may lead to lower cognitive and immune function.

  • B Vitamins and vitamin C have neuroprotective effects and may slow down the rate of brain atrophy.

  • Choline – Choline increases the levels of acetylcholine, a major neurotransmitter involved in learning and memory.

  • Cognitive Function and mental performance – Ingredients in Neurozan like vitamins B12 and B6, folate, iodine, and zinc support the nervous system and help the brain function properly. Calcium pantothenate also improves mental performance, and vitamin D3 reduces the risk of cognitive decline.

Neurozan also has other ingredients like Betacarotene that improve the health of body organs.

Side Effects

5) Side Effects of Using Neurozan

Neurozan has no potentially dangerous adverse effects when taken as recommended; however, some ingredients like Ginkgo Biloba in this formulation may cause, in rare cases, mild adverse effects in some users.

Possible side effects of Ginkgo Biloba may include

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Headaches
  • Stomach ache
  • Restlessness
  • Vomiting

Hi Hannah,

I don’t recommend taking an expired product. If the product you received was expired or close to the expiration date, I suggest contacting the store you purchased it from and explain the situation to the customer support department. They should refund your purchase or replace it with a product that is not expired.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately for me, I got diarrhea on the second and fifth days. I stopped it over Friday and the weekend, Tried again the following Tuesday and Wednesday. I was up Wednesday night with diarrhea again and also the following morning. I stopped then and diarrhea has not returned at all for the past week. I guess I must be allergic to one of the ingredients. A shame as my eldest son who recommended it has found it very good.

Bought it 2 months ago, there was a huge difference between before and after effects, no side effects noticed (but keep in mind – I only took it for a month). But it might just be the case that some people actually lack some of the nutrients in the product and therefore can see immediate effects (like I did for example – I have a nervous stomach and therefore can’t always eat all types of food, so I might have not been taking in enough micronutrients or something). Why I’m saying this – after that 1 pack that I bought, I tried two other, plant-based products that allegedly help with focus and clear the “brain fog” – mostly Ginko based. I tried them for reference, also because they are are a lot cheaper in my country (I come from the Western Balkans, importing stuff from UK/EU is expensive for us, so the product costs more here). It didn’t work for me, unfortunately. So I’m going back to Neurozan for now.

A pharmacist reccomended nurozan to me after the nucleo capsules he gave me initially did not work. I have difficulties in walking due to pain and numbness in my feet and legs. I Sometimes experience sharp pains like pins and needles in my knees and ankles and today the back of both my legs are really painfull and heavy, like muscle cramps.. Do you think nurozan is the best thing for me or would you reccomend something else.. Thank you. Best Regards.

Neurozan Plus contains an additional Omega-3 capsule. I would like to know if the “pharmaceutical grade gelatine and glycerine is from bovine or porcine origin. If bovine would like to know if kosher or halal certified.

Iulian (Editor)

Gelatin is made from boiling bones, skin and muscles of animals. Generally, pigs. BUT, Bovine Gelatine indicates this gelatin is coming from a cattle animal. We recommend you contact the manufacturer directly and ask more about their source of gelatine.

whenever i know my exams are approaching soon ..i’ll take neurozan 1or 2 months before my exams. This product is great ,i havent experience any side effects/adverse reaction.

Bought Neurozan in the UK in July. Find it excellent.
Have not seen it on the shelves here in South Africa and nobody seems to have heard of it!!! other Vitabiotics products are available but not too freely?
Who are the agents out here that one can contact?

I have been taking Neorozan caps for slightly over one month and find myself alert. Otherwise I have not experienced any other side effect.

I was a bit skeptical about the effectiveness of these Neurozan supplements, again I just thought it was fancy marketing and false promises. However, I made the purchase and can safely say that they have had a tremendous impact on my mood and focus. Brain fog is non existent, I feel like they give me the nutrients my brain was lacking without having to consumes heaps of superfoods. so in short YES!! this product certainly helped me throughout my intense revision.

Honestly, after taking it for a while, the effects were certainly impressive in a sense. For example, i had noticed my memory and focus had improved- hence i was able to implement my extreme revision schedule. In terms of mood, nothing much has changed. Overall i give this product a 4.
