EnerXan is a dietary formula advertised as a weight loss support. According to the manufacturer Life Plus, the company facilitates fat burning by enhancing metabolism. The formula which is part of the company’s Body Smart Solutions Program (a line of products designed to support a variety of specific nutritional needs) will consequently support energy and vitality.Life Plus is a business based on an innovative business model called referral marketing. The company is based in Arizona, U.S. and manufactures a variety of targeted nutrition products and various formulas for overall health, vitamins and minerals, anti-oxidants, weight management products and nutritional shakes.

EnerXan is recommended to adults who are dieting and need nutritional support. Due to the content of L-Tyrosine, the manufacturer recommends caution for pregnant and nursing women or those attempting to become pregnant, people taking neuroleptic medication, or individuals who are suffering from hypertension or severe liver disease.

Overview

1) Quick Overview

EnerXan is a mixture of herbal ingredients and amino-acids designed to promote overall energy and support for weight loss.L-tyrosine is an important amino acid essential to brain health, emotions, mood and hormone regulation. Tyrosine is involved in the biosynthesis of several neurotransmitters, including Epinephrine, Norepinephrine and Dopamine, which in turn are responsible for regulating mood, emotions and other important behavioral and brain functions. Additionally, the thyroid needs it to function properly. Thyroid is one of the key regulators of energy and metabolism.

L-Tyrosine is potentially beneficial in treating anxiety disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Social Anxiety. Evidence also shows it may be used against depression, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Premenstrual Syndrome PMS, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, schizophrenia and heart disease. Some people claim it also reduce age-related wrinkles, therefore it is commonly used as a suntan agent. Side effects may include heartburn, nausea, joint pain, fatigue and headache.

The Guarana herbal extract was originally used by the Amazon tribes for its energy boosting properties. It contains large amounts of caffeine and works by stimulating the heart, central nervous system and muscles. This is why the plant is commonly found in weight loss formulas, in athletic performance enhancing products and in energy boosting formulas, both for physical and for mental performance. Moreover, evidence shows that it can improve mental alertness, focus and memory, while also being potentially effective in the treatment of mood disorders such as mild depression. Guarana may potentially prove dangerous if taken in extremely large quantities and for long periods of time due to its high content of coffee. Side effects include increased heart rate, tremors, rapid breathing, headaches and anxiety.

3) Does EnerXan Work?

EnerXan is a mixture of vitamins, amino acids, herbal extracts and minerals claimed to promote weight loss while improving your overall health.

While no scientific studies support the manufacturer’s claims, many of the compounds included in this formula are known to be beneficial to the human body.

L-tyrosine is an amino acid (protein building block) that is essential to the structure of almost all proteins in the body and also supports healthy moods and energy. Also, it is needed by the thyroid, which is one of the key regulators of energy and metabolism for nearly all cells of the body.

Chromium nutritionally supports the activity of essential enzymes in the body. Chromium is poorly absorbed from the intestinal tract. Less than 3% of dietary intake is retained. The amount of chromium stored in the body decreases with age. Diets high in sugars and other refined carbohydrates increase utilization and excretion of chromium from the body. EnerXan is said to contain a proprietary blend of chromium picolinate and chromium polynicotinate, which were both found to be safe anti-depressants, reduce cravings for fat, aid athletic body development, and improve glucose metabolism in people with diabetes. There are claims that the picolinate form of chromium supplementation aids in reducing insulin resistance, particularly in diabetics, but these results are highly debatable.

EnerXan contains a high dosage of caffeine. Most people should not consume more than six tablets a day (300 mg of caffeine) unless they have been heavy users of coffee (heavy long-term use results in tolerance to caffeine).

The recommended dosage is 1-3 tablets before breakfast and 1-3 tablets before lunch.

6) EnerXan Cost

The average price per capsule makes EnerXan a reasonably priced product. One container includes 60 tablets which can be enough for 10-30 days. This product can only be bought from the manufacturer, by contacting one of their business associates. Discounts are offered for partners of the company.

Dosing

7) EnerXan Serving Size

The recommended dosage of EnerXan is 1-3 tablets before breakfast and 1-3 tablets before lunch. The daily dosage should not be exceeded, because of the high dosage of caffeine in its content. Several precautions are mentioned by the manufacturer. No consumer reviews could be identified online.

Final Thoughts

8) Final Thoughts on EnerXan

EnerXan offered by Life Plus is marketed as a support for weight loss, but also as a promoter of energy and vitality. However, its main ingredients may have benefits which go far beyond the claimed benefits. For instance, many are known to boost mood and promote emotional balance. Although there is no evidence of EnerXan actually working, in the form of consumer testimonials or as clinical trials evidence presented by the manufacturer, the formula is likely to work for some consumers.

Still, a long list of precautions and safety warnings has been issued by the manufacturer; asking for a specialized opinion before beginning using EnerXan is recommended.
