Ginseng is a health supplement that is meant to improve overall health, particularly focusing on the immune system, mental performance and physical stamina. Based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, this product claims it can enhance the longevity as well as the quality of life of people who are taking it. Advertised as an adaptogen, this supplement is supposed to work differently for each person, adapting according to the specific needs that their body has.

This product is developed and manufactured under the brand name Nature Made, a part of the popular US-based company Pharmavita. Although this company does not sell its products directly to customers, it has amassed a considerable customer base by providing high quality products at moderate costs. They also offer a quality money-back guarantee for any product purchased from their brands, regardless of the retailer you have acquired it from.

They’re also the same company behind Nature Made CholestOff Complete.

Summary

1) What is Ginseng?

Ginseng relies on an herbal-based formulation, its active ingredient being the Ginseng extract, an element specific to traditional Chinese medicine. The purpose of this product is to improve overall health by boosting immunity, mental awareness and stamina.

This herbal extract has received a lot of attention from modern medicine practitioners, mostly due to the claims that it is an adaptogen – it adjusts to the body’s necessities while helping it cope with various stress factors (physical or emotional). However, this claim has never been confirmed by medical research, although the herb has other confirmed uses, mostly on male fertility. There is some evidence that ginseng can help people fighting cancer, but testing is still being made to confirm this possibility.

Taking antidepressants or anti-psychotics with this supplement should be avoided, seeing as it might worsen existing conditions. It is also recommended you consult a doctor if you want to take this supplement and are taking anticoagulants, anti-platelets or hypoglycemic drugs, as there might be negative interactions.

Formula

2) What Are Ginseng Ingredients?

Ginseng contains: Panax Ginseng extract, Cellulose Gel, Gelatin, Stearic Acid, Water, and Silicon Dioxide.

3) Does Ginseng Work?

Ginseng contains Panax Ginseng extract as the only active ingredient. It is claimed to help one cope with physical and mental stress by increasing his energy levels.

Ginseng is an adaptogenic plant (its actions differ depending on each) that contains many active substances, the most important being called ginsenosides or panaxosides. Panax Ginseng is often referred to as a well-being medication because it affects many bodily functions in a positive way. People use extracts from the root of ginseng for a variety of reasons but mostly as a stimulant. Interestingly enough, in western medicine extracts from these plants are used to make people more active and increase their physical endurance and stamina while in Chinese medicine extracts from ginseng are used to make people feel calmer and more relaxed.

Unlike other stimulants such as caffeine, ginseng gives you more energy without causing a crash later on. Because of this property, this plant is very popular among athletes who often require an energy boost.

The manufacturer recommends taking one capsule one or two times daily with a meal. Because some individuals may need higher doses than others, you should consult your doctor before use.

There are testimonials posted online about this supplement. What is being stated includes: I feel more energetic / The formula comes with a good value for money / This formula helps me when I am stressed as well as to cope with the effects of physical effort.

Does it Work

8) Bottom Line – Does It Really Work?

Because of the popularity Ginseng enjoys in traditional Chinese medicine, there are many supplements that attempt to offer this plant as an active ingredient. Unfortunately, the lack of medical evidence suggests that the formula is not as effective as promoted, not having any clinically attested effects on stamina, mental health or on the immune system.

Customer reports indicate that most people try products from Nature made are satisfied with their performances; this is also the case for Ginseng, customers indicating that they felt more energetic, more mentally alert and overall better after starting taking this supplement.

I think this is a great herbal! And what other brand to choose other than the popular Nature Made? I give Ginseng to my children and I can see with my eyes that they are more energic and focused afterwards.
