Fish Oil Omega-3 is a strong fish oil supplement which can boost your heart, brain, and immune health. It’s distributed by Nature’s Branch. They’re located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The company doesn’t talk about themselves much, so you have to do a little digging to find any more information than that. They seem to have been founded in 2015, and they carry 4 products. All are sold exclusively through Amazon and have accumulated a good number of positive reviews. Their fish oil appears to be particularly pure, potent, and popular.

Formula

1) What Are Fish Oil Omega-3 Ingredients?

Fish Oil Omega-3 contains the following ingredients: Fish Oil, EPA, DHA, Other Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Gelatin, Vegetable Glycerin, Purified Water, Natural Lemon Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Mixed Natural Tocopherols

2) Is Fish Oil Omega-3 Right for You?

Of the 1250 mg of fish oil in each capsule, 820 mg is omega-3s. This includes 430 mg EPA and 325 mg DHA. Both amounts are slightly above the average found in other supplements. This is especially good considering how most fish oil supplements have large capsules filled with 3000 mg of fish oil each, which is often the maximum amount people should have. Any more and you might experience side effects.

Fish oil can be taken to help with general mental function and behavior, warding off side effects from prescription medicines, reducing risk of heart failure, and more. Some people report that it helps with symptoms of depression. It comes with a host of possible benefits which appear in some people but not others. Each person is different so it’s common to see different results from case to case. Fish oil is one of the undisputed kings of cardiovascular health, as it fights off heart disease and high triglyceride levels. No matter who you are, fish oil can help to increase cognition and maintain a healthy cardiovascular system. Something as potent as this formula only underscores the benefits.

Claims

3) What Fish Oil Omega-3 Does?

  • Lemon flavored soft gel capsules with mercury free molecularly distilled fish oil. Certified Sustainable Seafood MSC and GOED certified.
  • High potency capsules. One serving gives you 860 mg EPA and 650 mg DHA.

Precautions

4) Precautions of Fish Oil Omega-3 Use

  • This isn’t the type of supplement which works for absolutely everyone. Because of the ratio of EPA to DHA, this product is best for people between the ages of 10 and 60. And if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you will generally want a product with more DHA than EPA.
  • Not really triple strength like the label says. It’s more like double strength, compared to decent fish oils. Part of that is because each serving is two capsules instead of the usual one. However, the potency and quality does seem higher than normal, any way you slice it.

Cost

5) Fish Oil Omega-3 Cost

This is a rather inexpensive supplement. You can take 1 to 2 capsules a day depending on your needs, and each bottle has 120 capsules inside. So the price may seem average at first glance, but really each bottle will last you 2 to 4 months, which makes it a great deal. The company has a VIP club where you can get discounts and coupons. They offer package deals as well, where you can get a discount of 10 to 15 percent when buying two or more Nature’s Branch products. Since everything is sold through Amazon, you may get free shipping as well.

Directions

6) Directions For Taking Fish Oil Omega-3

One serving of this product gives you 2500 mg of fish oil, with 1640 mg of omega-3 fatty acids. Different organizations and health professionals believe in different optimal levels of omega-3 intake. Most, however, recommend at least 500 mg of EPA and DHA every day for adults. This helps maintain health where it counts, and is equivalent to one or two fish based meals a week. Certain demographics will need more DHA or EPA daily – if you’re not sure how much you need, ask your doctor. On average, you shouldn’t have more than 3000 mg of fish oil a day. Since this product contains 2500 mg per serving, it’s completely safe. Studies prove that fish oil is effective in combating heart disease and high triglycerides. It’s possibly effective for many other issues, and more research is being conducted. This includes improving mental function and behavior, alleviating symptoms of depression, preventing damage caused by prescription medication, reducing risk of heart failure, and increasing bone density. In general people eat fish to improve heart health and increase cognitive function.

Bottom Line

7) Our Bottom Line

Almost a hundred percent of this product’s reviews and testimonials are positive. When there are hundreds of positive reviews, this is a difficult percentage to keep. While some of the product claims are a little dubious, this does seem to be a good supplement. Nature’s Branch has ensured a high level of potency, purity, and overall quality. Some people do experience side effects like fishy burps, on occasion, but this is rare and doesn’t constitute a trend. If you want a fish oil rich in omega-3s, for long term health benefits, this might be the supplement for you.
