AdvoCare, a company specialized in developing different kinds of formulations, from weight-loss supplements to sports performance products, makes Clear Mood

Clear Mood is designed for adults who want to improve their mental health and experience a general sense of well-being, but do its ingredients work, and are they safe? Does Clear Mood have any dangerous side effects? Read on to find out.

Overview

1) Quick Overview

Clear Mood is a supplement that contains ingredients combined to improve mood, decrease anxiety, and promote feelings of general wellbeing.

The body produces Serotonin which helps regulates mood, body temperature, sleep cycles (by being converted to melatonin), learning, and appetite, to name a few. When serotonin levels are low, several symptoms may occur, including depression and anxiety feelings, irritability, sleeping problems, and inability to concentrate.

Clear Mood contains ingredients like the amino acid 5-Hydroxytryptophan, essential in synthesizing the neurotransmitter Serotonin and can improve levels of Serotonin in the brain.

What’s Inside?

2) What’s Inside Clear Mood?

Clear Mood contains 5-Hydroxytryptophan (seed – Griffonia simplicifolia)- a precursor to serotonin, L-Theanine – which boosts GABA levels, and Magnolia extract (bark – Magnolia officinalis) – with GABA boosting activity.

Health Benefits

3) Clear Mood Health Benefits

Clear Mood by AdvoCare contains 5-HTP (also known as 5-Hydroxytryptophan), a precursor to the neurotransmitter Serotonin, a naturally occurring substance which, when depleted, may be linked to a large number of mood disorders. 5-HTP is commonly used as an effective antidepressant, relaxant, and sleep aid.

L-Theanine, another ingredient in Clear Mood, is an amino acid commonly found in tea that can increase GABA levels in the brain and relax the brain. Magnolia bark helps to lower anxiety and depression and reduce stress.

Clear Mood combines these ingredients to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and improve overall mood.

I think I may be experiencing nausea taking Clear Mood – any thoughts on should I be taking this with food or on an empty stomach?

Christine,

According to the company, you should take one Clear Mood capsule, one to three times daily. Do not combine with antidepressants, sleep aids, tranquilizers or alcohol. If you are experiencing nausea, try taking the supplement after breakfast, launch, or dinner.

Had anyone taken this with a antidepressant also I know it says really not to but I didn’t know if you just take one pill would it help just give you a boost for better moods?!

Iulian (Editor)

The producing company clearly states that Clear Mood should not be taken with antidepressants, sleep aids, tranquilizers or alcohol. We strongly recommend not combining dietary supplements with prescription medicine, unless your medical doctor recommends it.

I have been Diagnosed with anxiety from the age of 16 ( now 25) and I have taken different prescription medicines and always had strong side effects or have became dependent on. And never enjoyed the side effects. I have been using clear mood for over a year now and I love it. I don’t take it everyday just on my bad days. I only take one. When I take two I do feel very mellow. Not bad enough to make me not want to drive. Taking three knocks me out. I defiantly recommend clear mood to anyone with panic disorders. I’m not claiming that this is the fix all. Just telling how much it has helped me I haven’t had a panic attack since I have had clear mood in hand. And I even totaled my car this year. Talk about stress lol. Hope this review helps somebody!

I have been taking zoloft for a number of years and just ordered this not realizing that it is not to be taken with antidepressants. Does anyone know why they can not be combined? I was hoping I could get off of the Zoloft by using this in its place.

I took Clear Mood twice daily while coming off high dosages of RX anxiety medication. Obviously I was under the supervision of a medical professional who knew I was supplementing. I am completely off anxiety medication now and have cut my antidepressants by half. Advocare also has a drinking mix that is supposed to help calm you. It’s called oasis. It is blueberry flavored, and I don’t like blueberries, so I won’t try it. I have heard wonderful things about it, though.

We just recently found out that our 16 daughter has depression and is dealing with grief. Would you recommend Clear Mood to her to take on a daily basis instead of a RX medicine. We are trying to figure out in the long run is this safer for her and will it help her with her depression. We don’t hust wont to put her on a RX drug if we don’t have too Are there any side effects with this.

terry

well if advocare is such a great company then why do they not have the side effects or down sides to ththis product, from hat ive found is their are some pretty bad or serious side effects

Unfortunately, dietary companies are not required to list all the potential side effects associated with their formulations. Many will claim that, because the ingredients used have been tested in the past and proven to be safe when taken as recommended, the overall formulation is also reliable when taken as prescribed. That statement is not always true. For that reason, our reviews include a special section regarding potential side effects, and we always advise our readers to do their research as well before buying any dietary supplement.

hello! I have a chronic thyroid condition, i have no thyroids they were removed. So i take a replacement and will for all my life. I have a good life on the replacement no complaints , I do get depressed sometimes , maybe from my chronic condition or just life itself, anyways i have started using clear mood in may , i use it 3 times a day , it increases the serotonin in the brain, I feel more able to handle stress and it keeps the cortisol in my body down so I am able to handle anything much better, even a common cold or an emotionally difficult situation. I use it 3 times a day , i never get tired, i just get happy.

Is Clear Mood known to interact/effect birth control? For example, I am aware the St. Johns Wart will make birth control pills ineffective.

Thank you

Chester

YES. It works! I was actually trying to stop using tobacco. CLEAR MOOD calmed me down and got me through the withdrawals. I will continue using it daily since it makes me feel “happy”. As usual Advocare has created a Potent mixture of the best relaxation and Alpha wave inducing herbs. All their product are so potent because they only use the most active form of the teas or herbs.

I have been taking this supplement for one month and can tell a definate difference. It helps with my anxiety symptoms but does not make me drowsy. You can take one or up to three per day.

Traci, it states not to drive while taking but you said it doesn’t make you drowsy? I would like to try but I am in my vehicle several times a day so that was my concern…Help!

I have taken this product for two years. It in no way has ever made me sleepy. Advocare as a company is extremely proactive in disclosing the most extreme possibility in any ingredient, even if it is not the normal. You can start with one each morning and see how you personally feel. That is how I advise those who I help with product, although I take up to three a day, am a busy on the go, work from home and life on the go mom and this actually makes me feel great so the desire to be sleepy isnt there. I of course also use it with Advocare Spark which provides mental clarity and focus so the combination for me has been an amazing regimine to use without any side affects such as weight gain or drowsiness as some of the low dose RX medications I had tried over the years. I am happy to answer questions or help those who want more information.

Sara,
I have horrible anxiety with panic attacks. I have anxiety all day everyday. I want to start taking Clear Mood, but am afraid of anything happening to me. As you can tell I also have health anxiety with anxiety about taking medication. What is your experience with this supplement? How long before I should notice a difference? I am contemplating take Ativan instead, but I truly don’t want to. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Jamie, you sound just like me in my 20’s. I’m pretty sure I psyched myself out about all meds :/ I have taken Clear Mood and did not have any side effects at all. Start with one a day Hope this helps! If you have any questions, shoot me an email.

Advocare does offer a money back and satisfaction guarentee for up to 1 year on any product, as long as it is purchased through a independent distributor. Ordering through amazon/ebay/craigslist nulls the guarentee as it is illegal for distributors to sell through those sites.
