Ageless Mind is a dietary supplement and nootropic which promises to help with memory, clarity, focus, and mood. It’s sold by Compass Elements, a company from Los Angeles, California. They say the herbs and extracts provided in each serving of Ageless Mind have been tested and proven. They can support thinking skills and improve cognitive function in a variety of people. Young adults and older adults seem to be the groups who will benefit from this product the most.

Overview

1) Quick Overview

The gelatin capsules contain familiar nootropic ingredients like St. John’s Wort, Bacopa monnieri leaf extract, ginkgo biloba leaf, and vinpocetine. Bacopa, also known as Brahmi and Herb of Grace, was once a common ingredient in traditional Indian medicine. It was used for longevity, cognitive enhancement, reducing anxiety, and improving memory – all things you want from a nootropic. It’s an antioxidant which enhances the rate at which the nervous system can communicate. It promotes communication and can impact the growth of dendrites (nerve endings) in the brain. Bacopa monnieri is best absorbed when you take it with meals. If you take it on an empty stomach, it could cause upset stomach among some people.

Ingredients

2) Details on Ageless Mind Ingredients and Uses

Ageless Mind contains the following ingredients: GINKGO BILOBA Extract, Vinpocetine, Huperzine A, Bacopa Monniera, Phosphatidylserine Complex, L-Glutamine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, St. John’s Wort

3) Does Ageless Mind Work and it is Safe?

Each serving has ginkgo biloba, phosphatidylserine, Huperzine-A, L-Glutamine, and more. Ginkgo is always popular, although there’s only 50 mg of it per capsule in Ageless Mind. It’s best to start with a low amount of 30 to 50 mg daily if your body isn’t used to ginkgo, but most doses are 100 to 120 mg a day. One solution to this is just to take two capsules a day, to get the 100 mg of ginkgo, if need be. Some people need more, and others don’t.

Phosphatidylserine and other phosphatidyl ingredients are generally made from cabbage or soy. Compass Elements doesn’t list the source on the label or on their website, so we have to assume it’s one of those two. There is an allergen warning on Ageless Mind which mentions soy, so perhaps that’s where the phosphatidyl came from. Either way it’s supposed to promote communication within brain cells and maintain cellular function. In healthy adults its effects are more minor because their cells tend to be functioning well, and already are in good health. It can still be good as a type of mental anti aging supplement, although more studies would help to verify some of phosphatidylserine’s many potential benefits. It can improve learning and memory, which is why it’s a popular addition to nootropics.

Pros & Cons

4) Ageless Mind: Pros and Cons

  • Effective formula of ingredients that are commonly used by countless other companies.
  • Less expensive than similar products which use the same ingredients. There’s also a 30 day money back guarantee, which is superior to (or equal to) almost all of those products.

Warnings

5) Ageless Mind Product Warnings

  • Not a unique formula, although it appears to have quality ingredients of a decent potency.
  • There are no additional vitamins or minerals to boost your health and energy levels further. However, you can safely take this product alongside multivitamins.

Cost

6) Ageless Mind Cost

The label recommends taking 1 to 2 capsules a day with food or as directed by your healthcare professional. This is an incredibly inexpensive supplement regardless if you take 1 or 2 capsules. If you only need 1 a day, the price is hard to beat. If you’re not sure about Ageless Mind, the manufacturer offers an unconditional 30 day money back guarantee. You also have a chance at getting free shipping since it’s sold on Amazon.

How To Use

7) How to Use Ageless Mind

The standard dose of bacopa monnieri is 300 mg, depending on a few factors, such as how it’s extracted and if it’s purified. Ageless Mind contains 100 mg of leaf extract, which is lower than normal, but it also has the desired 20% bacosides. Taking 1 to 2 capsules of this product daily should provide adequate amounts of bacopa and most of the other ingredients. Some, like the Huperzine-A, will still be low. A typical dose of Huperzine-A is often between 50 and 200 mcg a day, and this supplement only has 10 mcg in each capsule.

Does it Work

8) Bottom Line – Does It Really Work?

One reviewer said this is a fast acting formula which delivers results within a week or two of taking it. Ageless Mind can improve memory, reduce or eliminate brain fog, and more. Reviewers all talk about the additional clarity and focus they feel when taking this nootropic. The potency is appropriate for most, and as of yet no one has said the supplement disappointed them. Although Compass Elements is a fairly new company, and Ageless Mind is their only product, they’re off to a good start. The St. John’s Wort and ginkgo biloba seem to be especially desirable. People looking for a decent nootropic tend to highlight these two ingredients.
