Ubiquinol 100 is marketed as a potent source of Ubiquinol, the active antioxidant form of Coenzyme Q-10 considered being one of the strongest lipid soluble antioxidants. The formula is manufactured by the American company Life Plus. Although the manufacturer does not clearly specify the formula’s ailment claims, scientific evidence shows that Ubiquinol is a critical component of cellular production processes, hence playing a core part in providing energy to power organs such as the brain, heart, kidneys, liver and lungs.

Life Plus is an experienced manufacturer of health care and nutritional supplements with a worldwide presence in more than 65 countries. The company designs and markets condition specific formulas, and a range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nutritional shakes.

Since our bodies natural production capacity of Co-Q-10 tends to decrease with age, Ubiquinol 100 is recommended to individuals over the age of 40, as well as anybody who has substantially lower CoQ10 levels.

Synopsis

1) Ubiquinol 100 at a Glance

Ubiquinol 100 is a dietary supplement based on the Coenzyme Q10. Research conducted over the past 50 years reveals the molecule plays an essential role in the electron transport chain throughout the body, a role which no other molecule is able to perform. This way it helps synthesize energy, from which its anti-oxidation properties derive.

Due to its antioxidant properties, Co-Q-10 has been investigated as prevention or treatment alternative for a number of health conditions including high blood pressure, heart disease and high cholesterol and memory and neurological diseases such as memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease or dementia. In the case of neurological impairment, the molecule seems rather to slow down and prevent the progression of associated diseases than treat. However conclusive research and clear recommendations are yet to be made.

The recommended daily dosage is one capsule a day, preferably taken with food and water. There are no side effects mentioned for Ubiquinol 100, however exceeded doses have sometimes been associated to gastro-intestinal problems.

Ingredients

2) Details on Ubiquinol 100 Ingredients and Uses

Ubiquinol 100 includes the following ingredients: D-Limonene Oil, Capsule Shell (Gelatin (Bovine), Glycerin (Vegetable), Water (Aqua), Caramel Liquid), Ubiquinol, Caprylic Acid (Vegetable), Capric Acid (Vegetable) and Alpha Lipoic Acid (Antioxidant).

3) What Does Ubiquinol 100 Do?

Ubiquinol 100 contains the advanced form of Coenzyme Q-10, called Ubiquinol. It is claimed to promote wellness and offer powerful antioxidant protection.

Ubiquinol is an advanced form of Coenzyme Q10, and potent antioxidant capable of regenerating other antioxidants such as Vitamin E and Vitamin C. It may play a role in gene expression, human cell signaling, metabolism, and transport. Co-enzyme Q10 is essential in the production of energy at the mitochondrial level. Ubiquinol serves to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the primary energy intermediate in living organisms. After evaluating the ubiquinol blood levels of people of different ages, scientists suggested, it may be involved in the aging process. As all forms of Coenzyme Q-10 are powerful antioxidants, they prevent cellular damage due to free radicals. As we age, we lose cells faster than they can be replaced, so protecting them from the free radical attack may increase their lifespan.

So far, scientists have concluded that ubiquinol can support the cardiovascular system, it has potent antioxidants effect and can slow down the aging process, it promotes neuronal health and oral health, and it may aid proper renal function.

The recommended dosage for Ubiquinol 100 is one capsule daily. You should consult your physician before taking this supplement.

Bottom Line

8) The Bottom Line – “Does it Work?”

Ubiquinol has been extensively researched and proven to support a number of essential body functions and organs such as the cardiovascular system, neuronal health and oral and renal health. Research shows that it has potent antioxidant capacity and can slow down the aging process. Even more so, there is evidence that Coenzyme Q-10 can recharge other antioxidants naturally found in the body, such as glutathione and vitamins A, C, and E.

This way, it helps prevent a number of conditions caused by free radical damage. The formula offered by Life Plus has not received any consumer reviews, however the manufacturer has a good reputation and the formula may accomplish its purpose at least for some consumers. We recommend that before self administrating any dietary supplement you ask a healthcare provider’s specialized opinion. Free radicals may be the source of numerous cognitive impairment conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, atherosclerosis, inflammatory joint disease, cancer, asthma, diabetes, senile dementia and degenerative eye disease.

Ubiquinol 100 features a powerful antioxidant bioflavonoid derived from grape seed and pine bark extracts and discovered after 50 years of research by Dr. Jack Masquelier and Berkem Laboratories in Southern France. OPC’s have gained high popularity and have been researched and proven effective. Although there is no evidence of the formula actually working, we may assume Ubiquinol 100 will be effective for some consumers.

The formula is an excelent brain and energy booster. I have tried similar products but this one seems to be the one that works best in my case, and the price is pretty reasonable too! I will continue to use and recommend it to everyone who wants to improve their overall health, including the health of the heart and the brain!

This dietary supplement has definitely increased my stamina and energy levels. I am a very active person, and sometimes I was feeling exhausted and just wasn’t productive anymore. And this was happening more and more in the last past months. After I read about the antioxidant benefits of CoQ10 and particularly Ubiquinol, I decided to give it a try. And it worked!
