Proanthenols 100 is designed to provide superior antioxidant protection hence protecting the cells in the body from accelerated aging and combating free radical damage and oxidative stress. The formula offered by Life Plus claims to neutralize free radicals and assist with nutritional distribution, proper circulation, mental health and overall health. Life Plus has more than 30 years of experience in the dietary supplement industry and is present in more than 65 countries worldwide. The company conducts its business using a marketing referral system, which compensates existing consumers for referring any new consumers.

According to the manufacturer, Proanthenols 100’s core ingredients are the OPC’s or Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins extracts from grape seeds and pine bark. OPC’s are claimed to provide superior antioxidant protection, being 20 times more powerful than vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than vitamin E. The manufacturer makes no clear ailment claims for Proanthenols 100.

1) Proanthenols 100 at a Glance

Proanthenols features a 100% bioavailable, residue-free grape seed and pine bark generically called OPC, in a base of phytonutrients and plant enzymes. OPC’s belong to a class of substances called Bioflavonoids, complex organic plant compounds found in vegetables, fruits and certain tree barks known as powerful antioxidants. OCD’s are considered to have the most potent anti-oxidant effect out of more than 20,000 different types of Bioflavonoids.

As do all antioxidants OPC’s have been shown to protect against a variety of degenerative conditions, such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, neurological degeneration and aging. Scientific evidence indicates that OPC’s can cross the blood brain barrier and hence improve oxygenation of brain tissue. This is why scientists believe it may help prevent Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. By providing free radical protection, OPC’s may also promote healthy memory activity. Several animal model studies have shown they may slow cognitive impairment of Alzheimer’s disease. OPC’s are also able to preserve and protect collagen, which is an important structural constituent of blood vessels, skin and connective tissues, eye structure, artery walls, bones, teeth, uterus, cartilage, inter-vertebral discs and internal organs.

3) Does Proanthenols 100 Work?

Proanthenols 100 combines many herbal extracts into a single formula which is claimed to promote wellness by providing potent antioxidant protection.

Free radicals attack many of your vital cellular components, including cellular membranes and DNA. Because an aging body loses cells faster than they can be replaced, increasing the life span of cells may slow down the aging process to some extent. This product contains OPCs extracted from grape seeds and pine bark which are said to be far more powerful antioxidants than vitamin E, or vitamin C. OPCs are classed with the broad group of naturally occurring antioxidant substances found in plants known as polyphenolic flavonoids.

Preliminary evidence suggests that grape seed extract may affect heart diseases such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Apart from aiding the cardiovascular system, OPCs may also have anti-inflammatory effects. According to a small number of scientists, grape seed extract may have anti-disease properties, such as wound healing, osteoporosis, tooth decay, skin cancer, and hepatoprotection. However, their use in dietary supplements is not completely embraced by the medical community. The manufacturer provides detailed information about the effects of OPCs on the human body as well as graphic illustrations which compare the results of Proanthenols 100 to similar products.

The recommended dosage is one tablet, twice a day. More may be taken if desired.

Final Thoughts

8) Final Thoughts on Proanthenols 100

Antioxidants are essential molecules that may protect cells against the damaging effects of free radicals which result from oxidation processes that take place in the body. Free radicals may be the source of numerous cognitive impairment conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, atherosclerosis, inflammatory joint disease, cancer, asthma, diabetes, senile dementia and degenerative eye disease

Proanthenols 100 features a powerful antioxidant bioflavonoid derived from grape seed and pine bark extracts and discovered after 50 years of research by Dr. Jack Masquelier and Berkem Laboratories in Southern France. OPC’s have gained high popularity and have been researched and proven effective. Although there is no evidence of the formula actually working, we may assume Proanthenols 100 will be effective for some consumers.
