Focus Formula is an herbal remedy that is claimed to help adults and children struggling with attention and mood disorders.

The manufacturing company is Native Remedies, a US-based company with a vast experience in herbal and homeopathic supplements as they manufacture over 250, addressing a variety of different health conditions. They’re also the same company behind the anti-stress supplement PureCalm.

The manufacturer states that Focus Formula is able to improve concentration, encourage normal energy levels, balance mood and emotions, improve motivation and performance, promote the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the brain.

Focus Formula is a 100% safe, natural, non-addictive, herbal remedy that contains a selection of herbs known for their supportive function in maintaining brain, nervous system and circulatory health, and well-being in adults as well as children.

Summary

1) What is Focus Formula?

Focus Formula is an herbal remedy that combines well-known ingredients in a special formulation meant to promote brain health, nervous system and circulatory health, and well-being. Its ingredients have been used for centuries in traditional medicine. Ginkgo Biloba is probably the best known as it is a very popular ingredient in brain supplements due to its proven effects in enhancing oxygen utilization and thus improving memory, concentration, and other mental faculties. Ginkgo biloba has also been reported to demonstrate anti-oxidant abilities with improvements of the platelet and nerve cell functions and blood flow to the nervous system and brain. It has also been reported as reducing blood viscosity. However, Ginkgo Biloba has been known to cause headaches, skin reactions, dizziness and bleeding complications in rare cases.

Among the other ingredients, Skullcap is also widely used as an effective nerve tonic and has been used to treat numerous nervous conditions including epilepsy, insomnia, hysteria, anxiety, delirium tremens, withdrawal from barbiturates and tranquilizers.

Formula

2) What Are Focus Formula Ingredients?

Focus Formula includes the following ingredients:Maidenhair Tree (Ginkgo biloba), Skullcap (Scutellaria laterifolia), German chamomile (Matricaria recutita), Gotu cola (Centella asiatica), Wild Oats (Avena sativa), Extract of Nettle and Rooibos.

3) What Does Focus Formula Do?

As stated above, Focus Formula is an herbal remedy that combines several popular ingredients. For those interested in natural remedies, the inclusion of Gingko Biloba into this formulation may be appealing. However, while this plant is considered safe with side effects rarely occurring, gastrointestinal problems, headaches, skin reactions, dizziness, and bleeding complications have been associated with the use of Ginkgo Biloba.

Skullcap is another traditional medicine used in Chinese medicine as a powerful anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, tonic, and sedative. Its active constituents (such as Scutellarin and Catalpol) have been identified as being responsible for the mental benefits this herb can offer. Furthermore, recent research seems to support the claims of those who believe in the health benefits provided by this ancient herb. The plant is currently being investigated in the treatment of conditions like insomnia, epilepsy, anxiety, delirium tremens, and withdrawal from drugs (particularly barbiturates and tranquilizers).

Overall, just like with most holistic remedies, the problem we can identify with Focus Formula herbs is that it just trick your brain to stimulate certain neurotransmitters, instead of nourishing your brain and acting as a long-term solution. Herbs have their place, but they are not a natural source of nutrition for humans, regardless of what any supplement company states. For the nutrients to reach the brain and activate mechanisms that enhance performance, they have to cross the blood-brain barrier. Most herbal nutrients are unable to do that on their own and require the help of certain chemicals.

On the positive side of things, Native Remedies is a company with a long history in developing and selling natural herbal remedies. The company enjoys an excellent reputation among consumers and, and despite the lack of free trial samples, they seem to offer an advantageous money-back guarantee program and discounts on bigger purchases.

This works quite well and ive been using it for a month. I have tried a lot of other supplements and this seems to be as good as any of them.

Just ordered this for my 17-year-old son who has had serious depression, and whose ADD symptoms have gotten worse the past 6 months, including poor memory, poor organization, forgetfulness. My question is: he is currently taking Wellbutrin for depression. Can he take Focus Formula at the same time or would he have to come off of the meds first?

Hi Heidi,

We strongly recommend discussing this with your son’s medical doctor. Typically, prescription medication like Wellbutrin can interact with ingredients in dietary supplements leading to unwanted adverse effects. For that reason, most dietary companies do not recommend taking nutritional supplements alongside prescription medication.

Just order some Focus Formula, it will be arrived by tomorrow. Hope this will help my kid for the hyper and attention issue. I will be posting after I have them try it.

I’ve had focus problems since my first year in college. The competitive environment messed with my brain pretty badly. Since then I’ve used several study aids with various degrees of success. This supplement is a decent solution, although I did not get rid of anxiety altogether, but maybe that’s just me.

I can see how it will not help with anxiety, please remember that anxiety is a fear that is cinrolling your brain…Try meditation, that is what has helped me get thru my anxiety attacks and panic attacks, my anxiety has gone done tremendously since I started mediation, and my panic attacks have died down a lot, and the other day I had one in the store, and I gained control without water or anyone by my side…I was very proud…

Using a holistic product is far better and greater than Ritalin or any other pharmaceutic drug.

This is my second day taking the focusformula and I feel better already! Will keep you up dated with the progress. And I will eat whole food and take other healthy supplement to strengthen the brain in a healthy and long term.
