Women’s Gold is a vitamin supplement especially designed for women which promotes general wellness by providing nutritionally important vitamin, anti-oxidants and minerals. The manufacturer, Life Plus, is an American company with a good reputation as a provider of nutritional supplements, weight loss products or skin care products. The formula also contains sage leaf extract, an herb used to support and improve wellbeing in women during the menopausal years. The product is one of the many included in the BODYSmart Solutions program, offered by Life Plus. According to the manufacturer, the supplement provides 100% of the recommended daily values of all essential vitamins and minerals and but does not provide evidence to support these claims.

Women’s Gold is especially designed for women, but, according to the manufacturer, also provides specific health-supporting nutrients for men aged between 40 and 60.

1) Quick Overview

Women’s Gold combines vitamins, minerals, amino-acids, and herbal extracts in a formula especially designed for women. The product is claimed to have numerous benefits, from assisting with management of menopausal symptoms to providing the necessary nutrients which can’t always be ensured merely by diet.

The formula contains over 50 different ingredients (vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and different other nutrients). Alpha-lipoic Acid or ALA has proven effective nutritional antioxidant properties. In several studies, it appears that ALA may help lower blood sugar levels, and help treat peripheral neuropathy (in diabetic patients). Because alpha-lipoic acid can easily cross the blood-brain-barrier, it may help protect the brain and nerve tissue, although inconclusive evidence exists.

L-carnitine is an amino acid-derived compound which has a central role in muscle function and fat metabolism and is also shown to support healthy immune function as we get older.

Final Thoughts

8) Final Thoughts on Women’s Gold

Women’s Gold is a niche nutritional supplement (vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants) especially designed for women with a wide spectrum of potential benefits. The manufacturer Life Plus enjoys a good reputation. You should however keep in mind that any dietary supplement must be balanced with a healthy diet and exercise.

The formula includes over 50 different ingredients; however, this information should be treated with caution, since many ingredients does not necessarily mean increased effectiveness. The product has not been evaluated and approved by the FDA and the manufacturer mentions no potential side effects. This is precisely why, prior to beginning treatment, we advise you to seek medical council.
