Juvenon Review – Is it Effective?
The Original Formula Juvenon Cellular Health Supplement is advertised as a combination of natural micronutrients with anti-aging effects. This formulation was developed by a team of award-winning scientists at the University of California, led by the renowned biochemist and geneticist Dr. Bruce Ames.
Interestingly enough, the company advances some bold claims for this brain supplement, possibly targeting as many markets and potential customers as possible.
However, it is important to know about the pros and cons before deciding whether to buy the product, so read our full Juvenon review for an in-depth analysis of this dietary supplement’s real benefits.
1) Juvenon Quick Facts
Juvenon’s claims are fairly substantial as, according to the manufacturer, the product does have a lot to offer. Juvenon is a formula that may help restore youthful energy, vitality, and health.[1]
Aging mitochondria (tiny powerhouses that produce energy for many vital functions) may do more than sap energy. In recent years, scientists have hypothesized that worn-out power factories in the cells may contribute to a host of age-related problems, including Type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and memory loss.[2][3][4][5]
If it were somehow possible to restore mitochondria, it might, in theory, also be possible to reclaim some vigor and youthful health. That’s the premise behind Juvenon’s formula. But can it deliver?
2) How Did Dr. Ames Start?
Juvenon is manufactured by Juvenon LLC, an American company located in South Portland, Maine.
Dr. Bruce Ames – a renowned professor of molecular biology and biochemistry at the University of California and the founder of Juvenon LLC – reveals that their goal is to “add five healthy years to your life.”
According to the official website, Dr. Bruce Ames discovered how to slow down and even alter the aging process to guarantee you’ll enjoy many more years of youthful living. Juvenon licensed this patented technology exclusively from the University of California.
Besides Juvenon, the company has also developed several other dietary supplements. However, none of their newer products enjoyed the same recognition worldwide as Juvenon did.
Some of the company’s newer dietary supplements include BloodFlow-7, Reprieve, SeroLastin, Immune Wellness, NuvoFlex, Q-Veratrol Antioxidant, and Nordic Burn.

4) Is Juvenon Right for You?
Juvenon contains Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR) and Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA), two natural compounds that could, in theory, give mitochondria a boost. Acetyl-L-Carnitine is a molecule that helps deliver fuel into the mitochondrial furnaces.[6] At the same time, Alpha-Lipoic Acid is a potent antioxidant that may help protect mitochondria from age-related damage.[7][8]
ALA and ALCAR have been much more thoroughly tested in animals than in humans, and many supplements or ingredients that showed a lot of promise in animal studies never really panned out for people.[9][10][11][12]
According to Jiankang Liu, professor of nutritional science at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, there’s some reason to believe that the two compounds can provide aging people with a boost, both mentally and physically.[13]
On the other hand, Dr. Roger McIntyre, an associate professor of psychiatry and pharmacology at the University of Toronto, says that ALA and ALCAR offer youth in a bottle is a far-fetched claim. Still, the nutrients can assist brain cells to do their jobs.
In a 2008 report in the journal Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs, McIntyre and colleagues propose that ALA and ALCAR might help patients with major depression regain some mental sharpness so frequently lost to the disease.[14]

11) What Customers Say About Juvenon
"I researched this product, and there definitely are pros and cons, so it's important to do as much reading and research as you can, ahead of time. I find that 1/2 pill (the suggested dose is two pills) is helpful for energy, but even one pill perks me up a little too much." [Read full review]

"I started taking Juvenon about a year ago and felt the effects w/in the first week. I had studied up on the ingredients and dosage amounts. The 2 pills a day seem to be a perfect amount for my age/body time. (33 yr, male 5-11, 170 lbs). They have made an incredible difference in my level of alertness, energy and overall well being." ---Andrew
"This stuff is amazing. Energy, memory, the ability to focus on a project, get up and go in the morning, Wow... If you'll stick with it for about 10 days you WILL notice its effects. Stop taking it and you are immediately reminded that you're getting old, mentally, and physically." [Read full review]

12) Our Bottom Line
Juvenon is a dietary supplement designed to reduce the impact of aging on your brain cells and boost energy right from the cellular level. The formula is anchored on the research and life work of Dr. Bruce Ames and his team.
The product’s key ingredients include Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR) and Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA), two natural compounds that could, in theory, give mitochondria a boost. Juvenon is best suited for individuals above 50 years of age.
However, the response among the users is highly varied. Some have noticed perceivable effects, while others have emptied the bottle to no benefit whatsoever. However, it is worth mentioning that Juvenon is the type of dietary supplement you need to take long-term, with noticeable benefits months after the first dose.
If you want to pair Juvenon with a multivitamin, we recommend Centrum Silver Men.

There are two primary complaints when it comes to Juvenon. First is related to the high price giving that the formula only contains five relatively cheap to produce ingredients. The second complaint revolves around a lack of immediate benefits.
Juvenon's reviews are generally positive, but they lack in number. You won't find many reviews and testimonials online, other than the heavily moderated reviews available on the official website.

I tried it for two months, and it didn’t do anything for me; they say they have a sixty-day refund. I called three days before my sixty was up. Customer service told me that I didn’t have time to send my two empty bottles back to get a full refund but said they could give twenty-some percent back as a favor. I think they are dishonest with their refund. I have never run to a company that said you got to send it back right on the date. As long as you contact them before it was due, they would honor their policy.
I have used several of this company products for few years. Their customer service stinks. I tried one of the newer products, Nuvoflex, for almost 4 months and not what they claimed, for benefits. I contacted the customer service twice and they claimed, since I am outside their 60-day window, ‘sorry we can’t do anything.’ I reminded them to check my account, I am your customer for several years and I buy lots of products… They did not care… I am just shocked…
I took two tablets a day, for two months, for sixty days. I saw no positive results. I am actually having more brain fogginess now, and the tablets stuck together often. When I called for a refund I was given a standard answer. “You are beyond your sixty day refund, so we are not able to refund you.” Buyer beware.
I was given the same answer “You are beyond your sixty-day refund, so we are not able to refund you.” I told them to verify that I am their long time customer for several other products… but they did not care… no doubt I am looking into some alternative.
Martha,
We are really sorry to hear about your bad experience with the company. We do not support anti-consumer policies such as “No refunds” or “No Money-Back Guarantee” and that can be seen in all our supplement reviews. We also understand how problematic and frustrating customer support can be sometimes. We recommend contacting the company and try to solve the issue with them directly. Ordering from reliable online stores such as Amazon can be another good alternative to not deal with bad customer support. Another thing to consider is this: most companies do not ship on weekends or during holidays, so that might explain some of the delays.
My MD started me on an Alz’s med, donepisil. Told me to stop “all supps.” For me that was Juvenon and vit E. Noticed cognitive decline very soon thereafter. Very scary, niece started talking about investigating assisted living options etc. Using the age-old test of “what’s diff?” the only thing was me stopping the supps. As soon as I resumed them, brain issues resolved.
I am definitely feeling younger since beginning Juvenon Anti-Aging capsules. I was worried about keeping up with my grandkids as I aged, but since beginnng a health regimen which includes these wonderful pills, I have no trouble at all keeping up with them.
I did not see a change in myself until about 2-3 weeks into it! But I must say, it does work quite well. The thing I do not like, however, is the price, and having to sign up for \”life\” to get a reduced rate. The product will sell itself, they do not need to put that kind of pressure on anyone. But, it seems to be the standard business practice, from phones to everything else.
15 years ago when this product came out, I went to WalMart and bought the two main ingredients separately and started taking them. Within 1 month my long term memory changed dramatically. I would have continued it but it make me have indigestion.
I take many supplements, but Juvenon (original, blue) is the only one that has had a clear effect. In particular, the thinning and stiffening skin lateral to my eyes became springier, thicker and softer. Juvenon is expensive, but I definitely believe it’s effective. FYI, I started taking it at about 45 and have been for years now.
Juvenon is pretty expensive but I wanted it for my father. As he was getting older, his memory was failing and we started to worry. After 2 months of use I noticed little improvements in his cognitive function. I am a bit disappointed because of the cost, and we’ll continue to search for more effective alternatives.
Have you checked out the product Super Brain? It’s getting a lot of news! No side effects. A natural product compared to the pill taken in the movie “Limitless” I am disappointed this product contains propylene glycol (look up truth in this ingredient) instead of vegetable glycerine.
I heard about this from a TV program show featuring one of the Juvenon players just as they were starting up. The host asked Juvenon why couldnt anybody just go out and mix their own. The Juvenon fellow said it was a secret formula, ratios had to be just right, etc etc. Kinda hokey. I went and bought alpha lipoic and l-carnitine and used it for maybe 7 or 8 years, probably longer. Very subtle effects. Also been taking tribulus terrestis for maybe 15 years. Also subtle effects all good. Stopped all three about ten months ago to see what would happen. Skin is less flexible, sex drive down, performance down, energy down. Again, hard to tell but I really think something is going on and I am going back to all three. I am 66 now.
I have no idea about whether the side effects are real or not, but I’m pretty certain it does nothing good either. I you have money to throw away, go ahead, be my guest.
After taking this for thirty day I am currently experiencing dizziness . when to the hospital gave me something for veritico to stop the dizziness. This happened in 2015
According to Juvenon LLC, the dosage in Juvenon Cellular Health Supplement has been set well below the experimental levels that have been used in many clinical studies of the individual substances over the past 30 years. Furthermore, all ingredients in this formulation are also produced naturally in the body and produce few side effects. Occasionally, some consumers report transitory gastrointestinal effects. For this reason, taking the product with food is recommended. Persons who suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or other digestive system disorders should consult their healthcare professional.
I use this product because of its energy-enhancing qualities. I am an exercise instructor. I notice a real improvement in my energy levels and endurance when I teach high-level aerobics classes. If I forget to take it one or two mornings in a row, I find myself lagging after about half an hour of vigorous activity.
Do not take if on blood thinners!
I have been taking Juvenon for two and a half weeks now and I have absolutely seen the benefits of this product. I’m 63 years old and the age was beginning to take its toll on my memory. I’ve been less forgetful lately and I actually feel more energetic, too.
I used Juvenon while going through radiation treatment- I was able to still work full time throughout without energy loss. I couldn’t have done without it. My husband however, tried it (healthy) and saw the complete tablets in his stools- a waste of money as it went right through without dissolving at all.
I purchased 8 bottles of this SUPPLEMENT.!!! My husband & myself have used for a few months.!!!! I sadly had mistaken your product to have more of a trial period than 60 days.. Spoke w/male customer rep 2day 1/27/15 n he informed me that I HAD TOO FAR SURPASSED MY TRIAL PERIOD OF 60 DAYS N WAS ACTUALLY RATHER COCKY & RUDE ABOUT IT!!! I told him I purchase vitamins & SUPPLEMENTS regularly n it is not uncommon for Dr’s & their companies to stand behind their products 100% & Lifetime guarantee for products being purchased for a trial basis the first time…If, the product is re-ordered then that warranty is no longer backed by that type of warranty! companies that i do purchase n re~purchase from due to their customer satisfaction guarantee policy.!!! These Are the companies that I will stay with Because they have shown that they care!!! The few times I have not been satisfied they are sure to try & help us figure out another 1 of their products that may work & usuually does work better for us & they take into consideration the product returned that did not work for ur bodies & they are more than willing. To work w/us so, that we are satisfied customers…I will name a couple that stand by their products completely ~ 100% money back guarantee for first time buying if, We decide that a particular product does not give us the results that the have claimed the product wld…they have NO PROBLEM REFUNDING 100% FOR UNLIMITTED TRIAL PERIOD {1ST TIME USING}…a lot of vitamins n supplements that claim to rejuvinate cellular health is not noticable until 60-90 days && I wld say your product deff fell into that category…we used close to if, not up to 90 days w/no visible results n certainly nothing like ur add claimed that it wld do…But, your rude customer wreck {rep} rudely denied any further assistance w/ant other product u may have that cld possibly work better for us & flagt out denied any possibility of returning 4 bottles of ur product that was not even opened so, that says a lot to me right there…if, I cant even get a refund for uun~opened product of yours~that tells me That You Dont Even Want the Stuff back…I heard in this mans voice “you have it, you keep it, we dont care if it hasnt been opened..its yours now & off our hands..we have your money so, keep it..we dont care if doesnt work for you, we dont care what you do with it but, just dont send it back to us! Good riddence ~you bought it you got it, so keep it cuz we dont want it! The reputable co’s I am speaking of that has such a excellent product guarantee~ stand by & back up their product n will galdly take back if, it foesnt work…1} IVL:Institute for Vibrant Living & 2} Dr Stephen Sinatra @ Healthy Living.!!! I doubt very much your company will thrive w/the lack of customer Support & Lack of Customer Caring…I found a cold, rude & uncaring live ansering machine w/this male rep at ur co…i will not b returning for any more lack of caring or sympathy or empathy from a company that that claims to b of help In The Health Care Field…thank you for not showing any Healthy caring to me or my family & I will not b returning.
Have been trying Juvenon for several years now and have reached the conclusion that for me, rather than “improve” sleep it has interferred with a restful night. Also, in my case, low B-12 was causing my lack of energy. I believe that “one size does not necessarily fit all”.
