Facts

1) Joint Formula Quick Facts

Joint Formula contains two types of glucosamine, particularly glucosamine sulfate and N-AcetylD-Glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate and essential minerals to ensure the health and flexibility of the cartilage which is important to joint health. The formula is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid plays a cushion and lubricant function and it attaches to collagen and elastin to form cartilage.

Glucosamine is a naturally-occurring component of human cartilage and synovial fluid. It is hence often found in dietary supplements that claim to manage joint problems. Although most research suggests that taken as a supplement it has no actual effect on joint health, it is a highly popular ingredient. Glucosamine sulfate is found in many supplements, especially in combination with chondroitin sulfate, a chemical which also occurs naturally in the body.

Chondroitin keeps joint cartilage lubricated by absorbing water. Chondroitin and glucosamine sulfate dietary supplements may help alleviate symptoms of osteoarthritis, although clear evidence does not exist.

Some joint formulas also focus on inflammation, especially because many joint-related ailments are largely inflammatory. Examples are curcumin supplements like CuraMed.

Glucosamine is an amino sugar and a prominent precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins and lipids. Since glucosamine is a precursor for glycosaminoglycans, which are a major component of joint cartilage, supplemental glucosamine may help to prevent cartilage degeneration and treat arthritis. Its use as a therapy for osteoarthritis appears safe, but there is conflicting evidence as to its Effectiveness. Some clinical trials showed that supplementation with this compound showed no effect above placebo. However, in other studies, glucosamine was proven to have clear benefits. The results showed that there was not only an improvement in symptoms but also an improvement in joint space narrowing on radiographs. This suggested that supplementation which glucosamine can prevent the destruction of cartilage (which leads to osteoarthritis). Still, the Effectiveness of this compound is not completely embraced by the medical community. More information about the ingredients included in this formula can be found on LifePlus’ official website.

Bones and joints in particular are affected by old age. Joint pains, osteoporosis, joint inflammations are just a few diseases that might affect joints and bones. Health supplements can be taken to prevent or treat these types of diseases.
