Summary

1) What is AdreCor?

The adrenal glands are one of the most essential organs in the body, playing a role in different functions. The pair of organs regulate the immune system, balance metabolic activities, and maintain blood pressure. Among its most critical functions include stress regulation through the secretion of various hormones, like adrenaline, noradrenaline, and cortisol. Any disturbance in the working of these functions can mess with these hormonal levels, putting the body at various risks, such as increased stress, constant depression, irritability, and drops in blood pressure and sugar levels. For people fighting these issues in their day-to-day lives, AdreCor can help.

AdreCor by Neuroscience contains a unique combination of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients designed to relieve fatigue and stress, fight anxiety and boost memory and concentration. The formula features several B Vitamins and vitamins C essential to maintain healthy neurological functions, among other benefits. The combination of amino acids and herbal extracts featured in its proprietary blend provides actual nourishment to the adrenal glands, fulfilling the product’s advertised benefits.

The supplement comes in the form of oral pills and can be purchased easily through the manufacturer’s website. The company claims it to be a natural product with no artificial ingredients, which improves its safety profile and ensures users that their health remains safe with no unnecessary risks.

2) The Company Behind AdreCor

AdreCor is manufactured by NeuroScience, a US-based company founded in 1999, currently based in Wisconsin. In addition to using FDA-based products under the compliance of cGMP practices, NeuroScience also includes third-party testing as a mandatory part of its product development to ensure that all products are of high quality and free from microbial and heavy metal contamination. Nutrition Facts

3) AdreCor Nutrition Facts

Following are a few main ingredients added to the core formula of AdreCor for optimal benefits:

  • Rhodiola Rosea: This ingredient has been known to reduce cortisol secretion in the body. This hormone is primarily released by the adrenals when the body is under stress. Due to the adaptogenic properties of Rhodiola, the plant can regulate cortisol levels and help the body fight against signs of depression, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, fatigue, and other emotional imbalances.
  • L-tyrosine: L-tyrosine is an amino acid that plays an important role in protein synthesis. Additional research indicates it may be effective in regulating adrenal and thyroid hormone production. Inside the body, l-tyrosine converts to epinephrine and norepinephrine by the adrenal glands, two hormones essential to mood and mental alertness. Hence, supplementing it through AdreCor regulates their production and ensures that their balance is maintained. Additionally, l-tyrosine has been used for other therapeutic purposes, such as controlling the symptoms of depression, ADHD and ADD, chronic fatigue syndrome, PMS (Pre-menstrual Syndrome), Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease.
  • L-methionine: This amino acid has long been used to manage mood disorders. Naturally found in foods like fish, meat, and dairy, vegans and vegetarians may easily experience its deficiency, leading to mood imbalances.
  • L-histidine: This amino acid helps support metabolic functions inside the body while relieving the symptoms of anemia and ulcers.
  • Green Tea: Green tea is naturally rich in many antioxidants with very little amount of caffeine. Research believes that consuming it can protect the body and its organs from oxidant damage caused by free radicals. Moreover, some experts also believe that it can reduce the levels of cortisol and other stress hormones to relieve the symptoms of adrenal fatigue and elevate overall mood.

I started taking 3 in the morning for some reason every morning around 2:30 am to 3:30 am, I wake up with a throbbing headache. Could this be a bad reaction to the supplement?

I have taken ADRECOR for years, in the past 6 months or so I am noticing heart palpitations and am wondering if they have added something new to the nutrient, or if the green tea, even though they say there is no caffeine in it, could be effecting it, or if my body has just changed and I don’t need it any longer it says it can affect heart rate, or that some people experience this I almost feel the best thing to do is stop it for awhile I don’t know how long it would take to work entirely out of your body. The reason for taking it was to help balance hormones during menopause years, (still happening) but maybe I have grown out of the supplement. Any comments please let me know your thoughts or basically if anyone has noticed this same effect,

Jacqueline

I have been on Adrecor for 6+ months now. I take only 1-2 capsules each morning. I very quickly found that my brain “woke up” earlier in the day than before and my energy levels mildly increased. However, just like Jon mentioned, I am now getting HYPER effects where I feel as if I’ve been running a marathon! Adrenaline rushes are even waking me in the night. My heart rate and blood pressure have increased. I am having headaches, extreme muscle weakness, light headedness, and exhaustion. My blood work attests to the fact that I am now in a HYPER adrenal state.

I took the neuroscience test and was prescribed several supplements. They helped but I couldn’t isolate the benefits of each. Got complacent. Stress, pain, sleeplessness, anxiety, headache, etc. developed with an intolerable amount. Took two adrecor and went to work. Couldn’t understand why I was so tired and then remembered the difference of adding this supplement. OMG. I slept great, a little too much and was groggy but I needed the sleep and I also take a anti-depressant to sleep. What amazes me is that the anxiety, depression, cortisol keeping me awake after dinner all subsided in two days. I swear by this supplement now. I am taking two and tried three today. If I remain over groggy I will reduce to only 1. Great price for long term feeling of wellness. Thank goodness something finally clicked because I felt hopeless.

I am considering taking AdreCor but want to know if it contains caffeine? Or is the green tea it contains decaffeinated?

Lynnell,

AdreCor contains Green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf extract. Since the caffeine in green tea occurs naturally, the amount depends largely on the variety of tea plants, its growing conditions and the way it is processed or brewed.

I developed insomnia 6 months ago. A month ago, I went to a new doctor, who suggested neurotransmitter testing (urine). Results showed low adrenalin and serotonin, and high glutamate. Based on lab’s (Pharmasan) recommendation, Doc put me on Avipaxin and Travacor, then added Adrecor/SAME after a week. I had no improvement in sleep the first week. When I started the Adrecor, I did see an immediate improvement in sleep consistency night-to-night (eliminated the good night/bad night pattern) and sleep continuity (eliminated middle of the night awakenings). Unfortunately, after a week on Adrecor/SAME (1 capsule in the morning), I have not seen any increase in sleep quantity, even though I feel tired and sleep-deprived almost constantly. In the evening I am “tired but wired” – not sleepy until at least 11:30 PM. When I finally go to bed, I fall asleep quickly but wake up between 5:00 and 5:30 AM feeling tired and sometimes groggy. I tried taking half a capsule daily for a few days, thinking I was being over-stimulated, but half a capsule had no effect – I lost the consistency and continuity in my sleep. My anxiety level is lower; I don’t know which of the three supplements caused that change.

I started Adre Cor about 2 months ago. I am more tired now than I was before and have now been diagnosed with SVT (not sure if it is from the Adre Cor) but it cost a lost of money and does not seem to be beneficial at all.

Kathy

I am a fairly new widow and also lost my mom this past year. Since last June I worked on getting my property and house ready for sale. Then had a huge estate sale in October after which I felt like I could collapse. My immune system has been up and down for years and I am susceptible to colds and unfortunately got one which seemed to last about 3 weeks. Felt better for about a week and then got another one far worse than the first. My doctor did some blood work and found that my thyroid was a tad low and my inflamation level had gone from 1.7 to 15 since last June. She suggested I up my thyroid med which I did for 5 – 6 days and concluded it was not my thyroid. After reading more on Thyroid issues I decided to take an AdreCor, which my doctor had recommended after my spouse passed away becuase of stress and my immune issues. I happpened to have a few left and took one this morning I could not believe the difference it made in my energy, fatigue and mood. I am a tiny litlle lady and will try one a day and see where it takes me. Currently satisfied, but will certainly do some research on 5-HTP.

JTB

Skip all the unnecessary ingredients and drugs. If you are feeling sluggish, moody, low energy, poor focus, brain fog, disconnected with life – try taking only 5-HTP. Other so called supplements do not penetrate the blood brain barrier, 5-HTP does and it gets to the parts of the brain that need help. When your body runs low on dopamine and serotonin (not to be confused with melatonin), you body starts running low on “fuel”. Neurotransmitter imbalances affect up to 75 percent of people. Most doctors prefer to put people on meds that make them walking zombies, when all the doctors have to do is run blood test or urine test on dopamine and other neurotransmitter levels. – Simple test – that’s it.
Stay away from Aspartame (fake sugar) which depletes the dopamine levels more quickly then the body can replenish it.
I went through doctors placing me on all types of meds. A friend suggested her doctor, I went to the doctor, explained how I felt, the doc did some simple blood test and urine test and what do you know…
my neurotransmitter levels were completely out of whack.
The doc suggested plenty of rest for 2 weeks, also suggested I take freshly ground flax seed and otc supplement called 5-HTP. About 2 weeks later…..BAM!!!….I started feeling good, I was thinking positive thoughts, I could remember things, I didn’t feel disconnected with life anymore. I’ve now stopped taking the flax seed but continue to take 1 – 200mg of 5-HTP daily in the evenings with my meal. I will say when I first started the 5-HTP I was taking it just before going to bed but it seemed I stayed awake for a couple hours so I tweaked when I take it and it seems taking it with my evening meal is a good time. I’ve been on 5-HTP for 5 months now, no side effects, still making me feel good.
My neurotransmitter levels are normal now. If you decide to take 5-HTP, only take the 5-HTP alone. There are some 5-HTP that has Vitamin C, B-6, B-12 – don’t take those. Only 5-HTP.
Of course – do your own RESEARCH on 5-HTP. Certain drugs can not be combined with 5-HTP.
Google 5-HTP, DO YOUR RESEARCH, ASK YOUR DOCTOR. 5-HTP does not work QUICKLY, it will take about 5 days you to start feeling better.
I haven’t felt this great in years. Also, I’m off all the other drugs the other docs had me taking. I now only take my thyroid medicine in the morning and 5-HTP in the evening. I now swear by 5-HTP.
Good Luck and Good Health !!

Taking just 1 capsule of Adrecor each morning caused significant side effects for me. Extreme irritability, nervous energy but not able to focus well. My doctor ran lab tests through NeuroScience and N.S. prescribed Adrecor (as well as Calm-PRT in the evenings and Travacor before bed), but this was definitely the wrong solution for me. I feel so much better since I stopped taking it. Travacor caused even more severe side effects for me, although Calm-PRT does seem to help.

I’m on week two of travacor and adrecor and am feeling terrible. Anxiety is worse, crying, nervousness. I’m stooping it as of today. It’s definitely not for me. It was recommended after neurotransmitter testing.

You may need to give it more time for the body to adjust. I started with travagen and it took a few weeks for things to level out and to really notice the positive effects.

This stuff works very well for me. I think different people have different deficiencies, and if you aren’t deficient where Adrecor is aiming to help you, then it won’t do anything. I suffer from mild depression/fatigue and Adrecor makes a noticeable enough difference to be well worth the price for me. It also helps that I only need one capsule per day, so I get 6 months out of a $50 bottle.
