Lauren Manaker is an award-winning Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), certified lactation educator-counselor, host, and writer. In 2018, she was the recipient of the Emerging Leader in Women’s Health award by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and in 2020 she was awarded the Outstanding Dietitian of the Year award by the Charleston-Trident Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
She is the owner, founder, and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Nutrition Now and her specialties include nutrition and how it relates to fertility, pregnancy, lactation, postpartum, menopause, and infant nutrition.
Lauren is actively dedicated to supporting women’s health through nutrition and volunteers her time by holding executive committee positions with the Women’s Health practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Go Red for Women – American Heart Association committee.
In 2019 she published the book Fueling Male Fertility which provides evidence-based and approachable information for couples trying to conceive. Her first cookbook, The First Time Mom’s Pregnancy Cookbook, was published in 2021, and her second book, The 7 Ingredient Healthy Pregnancy Cookbook, went live later that same year. She also co-authored three ebooks. The first, Avoiding Allergens While Breastfeeding Guidance for Women Who are Avoiding Dairy, Soy, and/or Eggs While Breastfeeding, helps support a breastfeeding mother if she has a baby with an allergy. Keto For Fertility highlights the data surrounding the ketogenic diet and fertility, and provides sample meal plans and guidance. The third, 50 Shades of Green, is a smoothie recipe e-book featuring original recipes.

She currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina, with her daughter, husband, and Rottweiler-mix dog.
