Abigail Cortenay is a Registered Dietitian currently working as an eLearning educator for an international company. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of Pretoria and also holds a Masters’ degree in Nutrition from the University of Stellenbosch, with a focus on breastfeeding self-efficacy in HIV infected and uninfected mothers.
Abby enjoys approaching nutrition in a holistic way and believes that education is the key to improving one’s circumstances. She believes that everyone should have access to nutrition education and uses various online and media platforms to get her message across to as many people as possible. Some of the projects she’s participating in include Afrika Tikkun, Frangelicas: Living Well Powered by Abby the Dietitian, Family Kitchen, and Kasi-to-Kasi.
She regularly contributes evidence-based nutrition information in written form to several magazine publications as well as medical newsletters and can often be heard on various South African radio platforms and occasionally appears on local television programs.

When Abby is not working, she considers herself to be a food addict who loves to experiment and create unique dishes with whole foods and promoting natural living.
